who we are

Brandon & Kim Welch

Brandon Welch serves as the Community Pastor of Bridge the Gap Lexington. After being radically saved at the age of 19, he was immediately drawn to reaching outside the walls of the church to those, who like himself, had lost hope and found themselves trapped in a lifestyle that was destroying them.

Over the past 19 years, he has served as a Senior Pastor, Youth Pastor, and most recently Outreach Chaplain. His greatest passion in ministry is bringing hope and opportunity to individuals who have found themselves trapped in destructive lifestyles and creating spiritually strong, sustainable communities in impoverished neighborhoods.

Brandon is married to Kim, who is from Lexington and shares his passion for showing God’s love to the hopeless and hurting. She currently works as an executive director for a federal grant program that helps students in low-income communities access and succeed in college. She contributes her expertise in organizational leadership, marketing and partnership development to Bridge the Gap Lexington on a volunteer basis and serves on our mobile outreach team alongside Brandon. Together, they have six children.
