who we are

Brandon & Kim Welch

Brandon Welch serves as the Community Pastor and Executive Director of Bridge the Gap Lexington. After being radically saved at the age of 19, he was immediately drawn to reaching outside the walls of the church to those, who like himself, had lost hope and found themselves trapped in a lifestyle that was destroying them.

Since that time, Brandon has served as a Senior Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Outreach Chaplain in California, Ohio and now Kentucky. His greatest passion in ministry is bringing hope to individuals who have found themselves trapped in destructive lifestyles and equipping and mobilizing teams to demonstrate
the love of God.

Brandon is married to Kim, who is from Lexington and shares his passion for going outside the church walls and taking God’s love to the streets. She currently works as an executive director for a federal grant program that helps students in low-income communities access and succeed in college. She contributes her expertise in organizational leadership, marketing and partnership development to Bridge the Gap Lexington on a volunteer basis and serves on our mobile outreach team alongside Brandon. Together, they have six children.
